I have always been a sucker for stripes, I just cannot get enough of anything nautical. Perhaps it's because I was raised by the sea.
When summer comes along I love to wear anything stripey, so when I saw this two-piece advertised in a magazine, I went on the hunt.

I'm not normally one for supermarket fashion. Some of my friends seem to be able to find absolute gems from George at Asda or Tu at Sainsburys, but not me. However, this two piece is from, would you believe it, F&F at Tesco.

There's something about this co-ord set that I really do love. Obviously, it is blue and white striped, and the stripes are just the perfect shade of denim blue.
Gold buttons run down the back of the top, and the skirt is midi length. This does mean I would only wear this outfit with heeled shoes, in this case some wedges from Clarks. Midi-skirts with flat shoes definitely make me look a bit...short.

The set was is absolute bargain, at £10 for the top (here) and £16 for the skirt (here)
The 100% cotton fabric is so lightweight, perfect for walking or sitting around on a hot summer's day. I paired this look with a bold orange - red lip (Rimmel Apocalips Matte in Orange-ology) which went perfectly with the nautical theme.

I will certainly be getting more wear from this little co-ord set!
