Drifting around Arundel

Sunday's are for exploring. I am never one to want to stay in all day and do nothing, especially when the weather is fine. I like discovering new places and appreciating the familiar. Much to my boyfriends dismay, unless I'm working, I drag him out most weekends. Arundel seemed like the perfect location to get some Autumnal shots and show off my new shearling jacket.

The Changing of the Seaons

Summer has (just about) finished for another year. The evenings are darker and the air feels different. Thinner.
It's not quite woolen jumper weather, but gone are days for gallivanting around in floaty summer dresses.

Lyndhurst and Lymington

Sunny weather calls for days out. Days to cute little towns in the New Forest!
There are not many places where you can walk around and be surrounded by wild horses and ponies. I grew up coming to the New Forest for picnics in the summer, but the novelty never wears thin.

Monochrome

I cannot believe it is already the end of July! Summer seems to be flying past, and I don't want it to end. These photographs were taken at the end of May, but it could have been yesterday.
I still have some nice plans coming up in August though, particularly Green Man festival, which I am extremely excited about!

The Cotswolds

I was desperate to get away for a while. I had a very specific holiday in mind. I wanted somewhere with no traffic, no noise and no stress. I wanted the middle of nowhere, I wanted green, and I wanted a hot tub!

English Countryside

I have always loved being outdoors. If I could, I would spend my whole life gallivanting around in the middle of nowhere, with just trees and wildlife surrounding me. Being outside makes me feel so calm and content.
Going to The Cotswolds for a week was exactly what I needed, and I took the opportunity to wear a dress that, I believe, went perfectly with my surroundings.

Stripes

I have always been a sucker for stripes, I just cannot get enough of anything nautical. Perhaps it's because I was raised by the sea.
When summer comes along I love to wear anything stripey, so when I saw this two-piece advertised in a magazine, I went on the hunt.

I'm not normally one for supermarket fashion. Some of my friends seem to be able to find absolute gems from George at Asda or Tu at Sainsburys, but not me. However, this two piece is from, would you believe it, F&F at Tesco.

Vienna

An impromptu trip, and one that I will never forget. We got lost every day in this city, but I didn't mind. Wondering through the streets, marveling at the beautiful architecture, taking in the grandness of everything, I felt so comfortable and happy here.
It was nothing like London. There was a calmness about the place, no rushing or urgency. Perhaps not peaceful, definitely somewhat bustling, but not claustrophobic.

Ethereal Light

Summer is coming. The days are longer and the sun is appearing more and more regularly. There is nothing more uplifting than a sunny day. England is beautiful in the sun, and I have started to find beauty in places I never looked before. The otherworldly quality of the hazy afternoon light is my current favorite thing.
